Fairly new to this so can someone please tell me what tyre size i need to put 17s or 18s on a MY99T. Am currently looking at BK238s 17"
Exchanging the standard 16s for 17s will it affect ride comfort and handling etc ?
Also Toyo's, or F1s ?
Thanx in advance

The correct official size is 205/45/17. This size how ever is not too common so the choice of tyres is very much limited, they are also a good wedge more expensive than others.
The choice tyre size for most is 215/40/17 as it is much more common at a much better price.
F1's are regarded as the daddys but are quite a bit more expensive than Toyos. I use Toyos and really rate them. Good grip wet and dry and up to press, 14k miles with 4mm of tread left

Take Brun's advice.
215/45x17 will fit, but will make the speedo under-read a fraction and you'll lose some benefit from the 40% low-profile. But since it normally over-reads you'll prolly be close to true speed.
What wheel off-set have you got? Scoobs are a tight fit and 50-53mm is best. Also need to take care the spokes clear the front brake calipers.

Just thought the 215-45-17s would be a bit softer ride.
No idea about offsets etc ( new to this game ), but the wheels are BK 238s and been told they fit no probs. ( hope so anyway )
Standard 4 pots they have got to clear.
