Tyres make a huge difference to a car, they can drastically alter the cars feel and drivability.

And what suits one car well may be totally wrong for anouther (eg Yokohama AVS are the only tyres for modern audi's to componsate for the inert steering but the walls are just to hard for "track" set up cars like 911 GTs

The best thing to do is what you have done, ask people with the same type of cars, its also an idea to find out of they have the same driving style as yourself, whats a sports tyre to some people is a bouncy motorway cruiser tyre to others.

I got the standard bridestone protenzas on my scooby and there pretty good for a "B" grade tyre, I will try YOKO AVS or S03's next. I do like to drive hard and will do some track stuff as well.

The missus has TOYOs on her T Sport and for the money there brilliant.

I fitted a set of Goodyear Eagle F1 GS-D3's four months ago on my '99 classic and they are great, loads of grip in the wet. Wear is pretty good too

I have run Goodyear F1s on WRX STI,Bridgestone SO3s on Audi Quattro Turbo and Toyos T1S on Lotus Sunbeam, but I am now using Pirelli P zero neros on my WRX STi and find these tyres the best rubber I have ever fitted to an alloy wheel. Currently run them on 18 inch Super Leggera tyre size 215/35/18 at a total cost of £1200 wheel and tyre package.
