I am looking for a set of 17" alloys to fit on my wrx, i have seen a cheap set on ebay, Item # 2419414203. They are advertised as fitting a Subaru with the following measurements, Offset (et) is 38 5-stud (5x100pcd). Can anyone tell me if these will fit straight on? Cheers

The offset looks a bit small...

IIRC Subaru specify between ET48 and ET55.

Cheers, I've spoke to the guy selling the wheels and he replied (quote) "The wheels will go straight on, but it is advisable to fit the correct spigot rings - which I can supply FOC. If you buy these wheels, just remind me, and I'll send / give you the spigot rings." Will this correct the offset to the correct fitment?

If it is "cooling" guy,I have just bought(4 days ago!) a set for my scooby from him too!He said he will supply the spigot rings and yes,he said they will go straight on.The delivery was fast coz the payment was made the next day,but with delivery,no spigot rings were sent.He wrote a note enclosed that he will post them later. So,I don't know how well they will fit but they do look great. They should fit though coz I checked them out first on Scoobyworld site before buying.I suggest you do so too.

38mm offset may possibly fit the new style WRX, but they won't fit the classic. Not sure what a spiggot ring is, but you would need to machine material off the inside of the wheel mounting surface to reduce the offset from 38mm to say 48mm.
