Advice on the value of 4 pots & discs from a MY00...
#1
Hi wasn't sure if this needed to go in the brake section or not but I've put it here as it's not really a technical question just after advice. If I'm wrong then sorry!
I'm considering upgrading my front brakes which would mean selling my standard Subaru 4 pots and front discs. Could anyone please give me an indication as to what price I should expect to get for these? I've been told around £350/400. Does this sound about right?
Thanks for your help,
Dan.

To be honest I thought it sounded a bit on the high side which is why I thought I'd ask on here as people like yourself may have actually sold them. It was my Subaru dealer that mentioned that price to me.

No they're not guilty on that one actually! It's just that I need new front pads which I was going to get alongside my standard discs and calipers but then I saw the Brembo kit group buy on here and it's tempting me a great deal! Can't really afford it but it seems to be too good an offer to pass up.

I have 17s on the car. Haven't really looked into the Godspeed to be honest but that uses the original 4 pots doesn't it? As a value for money deal the Brembo kit must be better as it has uprated calipers etc? Normally £1500 and available at £750 on the group buy. How much was your Godspeed setup if you don't mind me asking?

Dan,
I got mine dirt cheap secondhand, but I think the kit is about 650 or there-abouts, yes it uses the standard calipers, btu that gives you the advantage of going back to standard if needed, once you sell them, you're stuffed!
