MY 99 brake cooling ducts
#1
On a MY 99 in the bottom of the front spoiler, just below the Orange triangel, there are two thin openings and behind them some black mounting adapters, they look like they are made for cooling ducts to the front brakes.
Do any one know where to by the special shape plastic cooling ducts fitting into the adapters. Is it STI OEM parts ?

Thanks, looks like a posability. The solution you describe use air from the orange grill under the blinker. What I was looking for was a duct taking the air from the opening below the orange grill.
You can see the opening on the last pictures in the link you attached, opening is just below the new installed duct. But your link and pictures moved me forward with some ideas, maybe the ducts from the splash guard can still be used, if I don't cut a hole in the old splash guard, but cut a hole in front of the duct where you just cut a small notch, then I think it will fit into duct that is already on the car. Else I properly go your way and take the air from the orange grill.

I have just installed the brake cooling ducts. Very easy to install, less than an hour. I didn't remove the OEM splashguard, they are already marked where you need to cut and the plastic studs for mounting the new ducts is there. To add more air I have cut away the finns in the Orange grills. No I wait for the next track say to see if it helps on the cooling.
