205 ZR16 50 Tyres Recommendations
#1
My Impreza is running Michelin Pilot Sport 205 ZR16 50 Tyres which look to have 2000-3000 miles of life in them. They seem pretty good in the dry but not so in the wet.
Can anybody recommend a tyre that will give good alround grip and last reasonably well?
I have an opportunity to buy some Pirelli P6000 at a very good price but I hear they're only good in the wet.

Goodyear Eagle F1 GSD3's win hands down over Toyo Proxes.
I have just been forced to switch back to Toyos after initially having Toyos then going to Goodyears and the difference is considerable
The Eagles have around 20% more dry grip and huge amounts of wet grip. The Proxies are very progressive but the Goodyears win hands down on out and out grip. A bit more expensive and don't last as long though

I think the Eagles are outstanding wet and dry. The mileage doesn't look too bad to me considering the performance of the tyres. I estimate I will get close to 20K miles out of my fronts and I do like cornering fast. The backs dont wear so quickly.

I have the Eagle F1 GSD3's and they are good wet and dry,
however, I have found that they wear down very quickly in summer if you continuously thrash the car along country roads and roundabouts (milton keynes). They seem to be very soft and sticky and wear away when heated (through sideways motion I presume).
My Michelin's lasted far longer for me.
