I'm in the process of buying some 2nd hand AP 6 pots with DS2000 pads.

I'm sure this pad set-up is great anyway, but can anyone recommend the best fast road/track pad to complement the lovely APs.

I noticed that Xtreme Scoobies have got a good deal on the Pagid RS42-1s @ £150 + vat, anyone got experience with these on AP 6 pots?

Any feedback/advice very much appreciated.

Paul

The RS421 is supposed to be a very good pad but I haven't tried it. I have tried the DS2500 on the AP6s and they are really good on road and track and I would recommend them! I suspect that the two are very similar though....

I have tried both and run with the rs' now. Just feel they are better when they get worked hard & don't leave a pad deposit.

Had both, I found the DS2500's gave more dust than the 421's.

Both worked well on road and track. The 2500's lasted a little longer.

dan, suprised you found that....in our experience rs4.2.1 outlasts and offers slightly more friction than ds2500.........

Sounds like the Pagids will do the business for me. I've got good previous experience of these also.

Anyone got a view on whether the DS2000s will do a decent job for me in the short term, or should I be looking the get the Pagids installed ASAP.
