Question

Have bought but not picked up yet some STi7 Brembos to stick on my wagon.. 2pots are way to long in the tooth and I think I am on borrowed time there.

I have STi8 wheels so covering them shouldn't be a problem..

Anyone got them fitted on a classic already? am I going to encounter any other problems?

Back plate? ABS sesnor?

Any pointers gratefully received

From what ive seen they will go on with out any problems but you will need to remove the spalsh guard.
I waited and waited for a set of STi Brembo's but non turned up so i went for the Brembo group buy, now alot of STi Brembo's are turning up for sale

Attu,

Three sets up for sale recently..

They don't seem to be selling as not many people can fit them behind their wheels.. so I got them for a good price imho..

Cheers for the info re-splash guards..

They are on.. fitted this evening.. not one problem..

Not much wheels clearance so definitly STi7 / 8 wheels required..

Same pedal feel but nearly puts me through the screen.

Very happy with them

Cheers

cheeseboy I think you would be lucky to get any other 17inch wheel to fit over them apart from the OEM STi wheels but i guess most 18inch wheels would fit.

The previous owner had trouble with those disks warping...

Might be a one off.. hopefully..

Would be nice to do the rear too.. but the car seems fairly well balanced at the moment. Might get some grooved on the back and run standard front. Will be giving the rear a clean and new pads and maybe disks as soon as I get time.

You are right they are very powerful brakes
