Only done 4000 miles on my GSD3's and yep now I need a new one. I paid about £90 a quarter when I bought the set. What should I be paying and where from for a 205/50/16 Z F1 ?

so long as it's not too near the shoulder of the tyre, it can be repaired!!

It's about an inch from the shoulder, repair worries me as surely that area of the tyre will be weaker?

I'd expect that area to be under stress when pushing the car. If in doubt, don't corner too fast or replace it. A tyre is cheaper than renewing your insurance after an event!

There are 2 types of tyre repair that can be done. Your local tyre fitter can only do the basic puncture repair. The puncture must not be in or near the side wall.
You can also get an advanced repair done whereby the tyre is sent away and rubber is applied to the tyre professionally to fix the problem. Costs about £15.

Hmm - where did you get the first 4 from ?

I had mine for about 90 each, which is pretty good, so I don't think you'll find them cheaper, but after 3 months had a double nail puncture - had to get new one fast, so paid 150 from AA centre.

3 months later, same tyre, 2 more nails !!!!!!

BUT, AA do a warranty and you only pay for tyre wear, so they charged me 65 quid, inc fitting and balancing - WHich is nice
