Can 2-pots stand up to track day use?
#1
I am wanting to get on track as soon as possible - car is ready except for the minor problem of the brakes. Is there a good disk/pad combination I can use to save having to invest in some proper stuff immediately? Any advice most welcome.

I've just ditched the standard 2 pot brakes (with Pagid group N discs and pads) on my MY97 scooby cos they weren't up to enthusiastic driving on A and B roads (general feel, fade etc), so I doubt very much they'll last a lap on track. I've replaced them with the Brembo 4 pots from the recent group buy I'm kicking myself for not changing them years ago - I have much more fun in the car now I have confidence in the brakes.
I remember reading somewhere that a set of decent brakes are worth around an extra 20bhp on track cos it means you can brake later........
