are S'Leggeras really that that light?

When swapping my Summer tyres (Falken FK451 on 17'' Superleggeras) to Winter tyres (standard Subaru with Fulda Rotego's) yesterday, I tried to check the weight to see the difference (I know, sounds desperate).
To my surprise they both had the same weight of 16kg per wheel plus tyre.
And I thought that S'leggeras were supposed to save like 2-3 kg per corner?? Or are the Falken FK451 tyres that heavy? Or are winter tyres in general lighter than summer tyres?

I have a set of 15" super L's with toyos on my 7 and recently bought a set of 15" Fox premiers with uniroyal tyres for another car, the difference in weight is unbelievable, the OZ's combo must be half the weight!

I have the standard 16" rims on my import wrx wagon. When cleaning them up i took them off and was amazed how light they were compared with the 18" RS4's on my golf. Most of the after market rims will be way heavier then standard, or OZ type wheels.

SuperLs in 17" are about 17lbs while stock 17" WRX rims are 17,5-18lbs!
That's why I prefer the 18" SuperL for my new WRX with 225/40/18 Pilot sport II as it is more or less the same weight with the factory combo and doesn't affect - due to weight - the behaviour of the car and has correct offset(51 in 18", 48 in 17").
Of course it's little bit fragile compared with some other wheels!
The new Michelins are also of the lighter tires.

Thanks for all the replys.
Must be something about the tyres then. Maybe Winter tyres are lighter than summer tyres.
At least they are not much heavier than the standard 16" wheels.
