Question

If I'm fitting snow tyres to my STI UK do I have to buy tyres rated over 150mph or can I get away with 130mph.
Anyone know the legality with snow tyres, I'm mean I'll be lucky to drive at 50mph in the snow let alone 130!!!

Legality is not an issue, what is an issue is your insurance company. They may require the same rating as the OEM std tyres. The only real difference between say V and H rated is the thickness of the side wall. I informed my insurance that I was changing my wheels and tyres for winter spec (03WRX, went for H rated, cheaper than V and upped profile from 215x45 on 17's to 205x50 on 16's) and they were a little insure to begin with then said OK.
