As titled on a 205/50 R16.
My Toyo T1's are needing replaced and I hate them so want to get another kind. I used Avon ZZ1's on my Golf GTI and loved them to pieces!! Great tyre, probably the best I've used but wondered if anyone has used the newer ZZ3 on a Subaru.
Getting them for 65 quid.

I think you'll find the majority of people on here would tell uou to avoid Avon tyres. The ZZ1 is an awful tyre on the Impreza, do a search for some scary experiences.
The ZZ3 is supposed to be better but no-one trusts it because of the reputation the zz1 has.
There is one guy on here who can get them free, but still buys Toyo\Goodyear or the like.

I have ZZ3's on my Sti8 and have been running a test on them for the SIDC Magazine
3000 miles covered and I am impressed [Previous TOYO Fan]
Once these are worn out I will refit my toyo's currently in the garage but when these have warn I wouldn't hessitate in buying Avons again

Hi Euan,
Most impressive performance off the roundabout tonight!
Had the feeling that I was maybe dragging you along a bit, that's why I pulled in, but then had to back off sharpish to avoid law abiding citizens.
Next time we have to try and get some side by side action, or better still..... you lead!
Bob.

To be honest Mr. Bob, I was surprised myself!!!! I didn't know I could pedal that fast!!!
I was honestly expecting to see that "TYPE UK" badge disappear off into the distance!!! There was a pretty strong head wind, after all, its Scotland and its November!!
Had a muck-about with a Fiat coupe turbo tonight at the same stretch. He wasn't up to the pace! You know what they say about Fiat.....it stands for Fix It Again Tomorrow....he'll be away home to rebuild his engine!!!

Had a set of ZZ1's ao a Alfa 156 V6 and after that would never have them again, ended up taking them off when they were only part worn and fitting F1's, what a difference. Can't comment on ZZ3's but for the extra few quid I'll stick with the F1's.

I have Avon ZZ1's on my classic...they were fitted by the previous owner......awfull tyres, especially now the long dry season is over. I really wouldn't want to push them to the limit.
I will not be buying Avons of any description again.

I posted something on ZZ3's a couple of weeks ago, do a search. Lot of comments came back, apparently generations ahead of the ZZ1's and they were crap. Can't fault mine, especially at 65 quid a go

My advice on the ZZ3 is to buy them,i've had the Toyo's an cant for the life of me find why they are so popular, as in damp conditions they are horrific.
I've had the ZZ3's on for over a month and they are the best tyre i've had on my Scoob.
Marks out of 10
Bridgestone REO11 = 5/Falken FK451= 7/Toyo T1 = 4/Avon ZZ3 = 9

I've got ZZ3 all round and they are fine once worn in -like most tyres they do need alittle wear to see them at their best.
had Toyos on the last car and these are just as good IMHO.
