Unhappy

Help needed please. My MY99 Scoob has been making and odd squealing noise, particularly noticeable at low speed (in traffic). I've looked at reservoir level for fluid loss, level not critically low but topped it up anyway as I hadn't done so since it's last service. Squealing still there. So grabbed nsf tyre and found whole thing had play. Cos the car has 225 wide tyres me thinks tyre inner wall is rubbing on Suspension or shock absorber causing the squealing. So I suspect it's a bearing that gone. Local dealer... Dear God, £90.00 labour (1.1/2 hours) and around £120.00 for the parts . Has anyone changed one of these front wheel bearing kits before? Do you need any bloody silly specialist tools to perform this task? And is there antwhere cheaper for the parts? Any handy, helpful hints would be greatly appreciated.

Doh!!! I should say I've topped up power steering so I don't suspect a steering failure:eyesroll:

: r o l l e y e s : yup these are the sort of prices to expect, don't know about cheaper places, you could try your local garage as opposed to a dealer or try the search cos a few people have asked about this (including me )

Best price so far is around the £120 mark. That just buys the parts at local dealer
