Question

I've posted this on the RB5 Owners Club Forum but thought I'd post here too so hopefully get much more varied response.

Want to know what good alternatives there are on the market and how good they are, dont want to spend 1K+ on things like AP or Brembo.

Heard about EBC, TAR-OX and FERODDO.

Please let us know your views/recommendations/prices?

Thumbs up

I used to have the Pagid GrpN+ kit on my WRX and for under £400 I doubt you can get anything better. They saw many trackdays and never had any problems.

I have GC88 tarox grooved front discs with std oem 4 pots. They are awesome on the road but track use requires a little care. They are good for approx 5 laps of hard use with uprated pads and fluid + braided hoses.

Good value for money upgrade. Still The AP's are the best.

Recently upgraded my brakes via Godspeed, Give Ian a ring, mine arrived as promised, cannot fault the service or product.

Had mintex 1155 fitted to mine they where ok but still not what I would regard as proper brakes for such a car. Just bought a set of Ferodo DS2500's to replace the mintex's so see how they go.
