since an unresticted sti will travel at obscene speeds(on the autobahn of course) I am trying to ascertain the speed rating of the S-01 s on my car - the following chart

The 'R' on the tyre wall means Radial and is not the speed rating of the tyre.
Usually there is a letter in front of the R which is the speed rating letter.
i.e. 215 40 <B>Z</B>R 17
<B>Z</B> being the speed rating.

S01s and S02s are both Z rated. Even if your car doesn't go above 168 mph (top speed for W rated) the forces (heat) generated by acceleration on a scoob mean you should use Z Rated tyres at all times
