Default Tornado tyres - any good?

As subject...I've just bought a MY99 with four of these tyres on, but have never heard of them!

They're brand new, so I'm reluctant to change them unless they're utterly useless/dangerous.

Anyone had experience of these?

Never heard of them either...but they don't sound too good!

What are the sidewall details? i.e. Speed rating, Traction, treadwear etc and the weight rating??

Give them a good thrashing somewhere with plenty of room and see what you think of them!!!!

I don't pick the car up until Saturday morning, so will certainly find a large (and empty) carpark to test the tyres out on and see how good/poo they are. I've never heard of the manufacturer, so will automatically assume that they're a load of crap!

I've spent the past few years driving MR cars, so it's going to take me a while to get used to the driving characteristics of 4WD.

This is also my first 4wd car, and like you, had driven rear wheel drive for a while! You'll probably notice straight away that you're Impreza will drive quite like a front wheel drive car....it'll want to push the nose out on a tight (2nd gear) corner when you try to accelarate through it! But you get used to it, and you occasionally get a bit of tail-out and drifting too once you get the hang of it!!
Let us know how you get on with those tyres!!
