Thumbs up

Mike,

I referred to the Autocar tyre test - have a look at this thread to see the results.

It does include the Dunlop SP9000, and it doesn't do too well (dead last overall).

Rgds,

Alex

Been there, used those, didn't bother with the T-shirt!

Dunlop sp9000 are better than the the Continantal Contisport contacts (awful breakaway), but that's about the most you can say for them. I found the P-Zeros were good in the dry, but not to hot in the wet.

Favorite so far is the Toyo T1S, good life, excellent wet and dry and nice and progressive breakaway. Also a lot cheaper than Bridgestones with very similar performance.

Read a report somewhere where they came top! Anyway, I remember another report which said the tyres were reasonable in the dry, poor-ish in the wet and only thing in it's favour was that they stopped aquaplaning the best!!

I had some fitted to my car and they are reasonable, but I'd look for something else next time! I just can't wear the blooming things out!! I've had 18,000 miles out of them so far, and there's still 4-5mm of tread left!!!

I might just take it easy, and sell them with the car when I get my P1!!

Andy
