Halfords are doing 4 for the price of 3 on all Bridgestone tyres. They have quoted me £433 fully fitted/balanced for a set of 205/50/R16 SO2-PP boots. Can this be beat? I don't want to hear any comments about 16" S02's not being suitable for Impreza's. I have driven a friends car with 16" S02's and the improvement wet and dry over the standard Potenzas is quite remarkable,

Try Elite, they've quoted me £483.00 all inc for 205/40/17, S02 PPs. Now I know these are bigger but I just tried the same quote from Halfords (3 branches would not supply this size as they're not popular enough!) managed to get a quote from chadwell Heath, with the 4 4 3 offer a whopping £531 all inc.

Any halfway decent tyre is a big improvement over the standard potenzas! Good price.

Just had my wheels balanced as its been 5k since fitting and asked about prices for S02's. Cost was £88.00 each fitted for 205/50/16's (works out at £352.00 for a full set). Nice to know that prices have come down. Shame I don't need a set of tyres at the moment since F1's are wearing well.

I've never heard of S-02s being sold for under £100 inc fitting and VAT, so Orville, that's a good price.

DaveW, who quoted £88?

I got a set of 215.40x17 Toyos from Denton Tyres in Dumfries for £376 all in and the improvement over the standard 16" Bridgestones is unbelievable, the first thing I noticed being the huge reduction in road noise

I just bought the last 2 205/50 Vr16 F1's from Wembley tyres for £170 fitted. He's got some more coming in soon. The tyres are Temp A and Traction A.

After fitting I asked about S02's & got a price of £400 for the four.

It's actually in Willesden North London & bit nearer to me than Carlisle

Give them a call 020 8459 6191 it's rough & ready but worth a try for any tyre.

I just found out that the RE10's are superceded by RE 20's.

Orville.

The improvement over standard tyres may be good, but if Bridgestone themself don't recommend you put them on a Scoob, why bother?

Stef, I can't believe you made that comment! Just cos Bridgestone don't recommend the S-02 for the Impreza "don't bother" with what is possibly the ultimate tyre for the Impreza in terms of performance?!

Considering that they aren't recommended there are a LOT of satisfied users out there.
