A lot of people will probably tell you they won't fit. They do!
I have a set of Compomotive MO 18x8 fitted with 225/48x18 tyres fitted onto a classic with no problems other than a very slight rubbing at the rear passenger side wheel arch. (This was only on big bumps, high speed cornering, or taking heavy passengers). Saggy old suspension was causing this so I had a set of new coilover suspenders fitted. No rubbing anymore.
You'll notice a big difference in the cars handling if you get them. They are big heavy wheels and will greatly affect the unsprung weight.

as bladerider says...
WILL fit, minor scraping on rear, heavy wheels though! but look V Nice!
(you can see a dark line round the rear tyre, that was due to the scraping, if its a UK car you can move the arch protection strips which helps a bit)
