as the P1 wheels are available in gold from Subaru dealers, I would suggest that the best quality finish would be obtained by purchasing a set (without tyres), and then selling your 18 inch ones. Assuming you can find a buyer (shouldn't be too difficult), then the cost difference between buying new ones, and getting your existing ones stripped and re-sprayed shouldn't be that high, and you would end up with a better result.
