Does anyone know how much pad wear you have left after you hear the sensors? Also should your hear it all the time or just under braking?Thanks,Pete.MY99 4-door,no mods.

Peter,
The 'sensor' is just a bit of metal that hits the disk when the pad level gets down to about 2-3 mm. So you should get the noise every time you hit the brakes.
On my first set of pads the 'sensor' activated early because the part of the disk it contacts had rusted so keep that in mind.
