My '94 Turbo Estate always stopped a treat wet or dry in the 6 years I had it but I always used proper bits - check for scored disks, non-standard pads and cheapo tyres (Michelin Pilots are the best stoppers/handlers in my experience)

New Discs, EBC Red Stuff Pads & PZeros on 16" Speedlines. These work well for a while but tend to wilt under constant hard use, do Impreza 4 pots fit onto Legacy Struts or is major expense required.

My mum had a '95 Legacy turbo. I've got a 95 WRX with what seems to be the same brakes as when i get pads they have Legacy written on the box. If yours is anything like hers, the brake pedal is about 3 foot long and doesn't do anything for the first 2 and a half foot. I don't know if thats got anything to do with hers having ABS.
I've got 1155 pads in mine in i can't fault them so long as you bed the pads in o.k. first like. People say that you have to stand on 55's a bit hard but my missus drives it more than i do and she don't complain.

Spoke to the man at EBC today, it seems my problem is the plasticine original equipment discs discs go all floppy when the pads get up to temperature. He is supplying me with a pair of discs and a new set of pads for the same price as I have just been quoted for one new genuine subaru one. Is it me or are International Motors/Prodrive a bunch of robbing t**ts, they hanged Dick Turpin for less.

I've got a '92 Legacy Turbo with black diamond drilled disks and mintex pads. It stops well, but i'm going to put impreza 4 pots on soon, great looks and better stopping power.

Just finished fitting the EBC pads & discs and taken it out for a quick warm up, the old gen subaru discs were warped to f**k the car feels smoother already and thats just under light braking. I am going up to Liverpool tomorrow and will let you know what they are like after bedding in on a run.
