I have never had to do mine but there will be an adjuster for the shoes if you back it right of the discs should come off

on some cars with this set up you can see the adjuster through a hole in the disc

I could also be talking crap cos i have never even tried to take off my discs

Have you removed the rubber bung and wound the shoes back with the toothed adjustment wheel ?

Got to go - visitors at the door - so I'll be quick !
At the back of the disc plate, low down, is a oblong (spell) piece of rubber.
Pull it out.
Inside (torch needed) is a toothed wheel that needs spinning with a flat bladed scrwedriver. I can't remember which way loosens (moves up & down) etc.
Try moving the disc while turning the toothed wheel until its moving easily to tell when the pads not touching.
Hope you sort it.
I'll log on in an hour or so to see if your sorted - please post either way

Chris

Sorted ?
Forgot to add in the rush, that once the disc id refitted you will nedd to wind out the shoes until they are just touching the hub.

Managed to remove the drum. As you advised, the wheel behind the bung needed turning but even with it right back the shoes were catching on the wear lip inside the hub. Also, the small shoe return spring that sits at the bottom next to the adjuster wheel is bent/offset, it looks like this is normal so it misses the ABS rota, is that correct ? Need to buy new dished washers for the shoe locating/anti chatter springs as these are not holding onto the small "spade" ended pin. Maybe damaged when removing drum or the cause of all the bother.
