New Tyres - Different handling
#1
Just had a new set of tyres put on the STI, Goodyear F1 replacing the SO2s.. Also had the toes checked a changed to +.04 both sides on the bumpsteer modded geometry..
The handling now seems very skitty through the corners when before it felt very planted..
1. Is this because the tyres are new and need bedding in ??
2. Is this a characteristic of the F1s ??
3. Has the change to the geometry upset the bumpsteer...
Anybody rest my mind on this worrying change..

All new tyres need running in for a few hundred miles -- they're initially full of waxy crap that's used to release them from the moulds. Also, you may have to experiment with the pressures -- don't assume that what worked for the S02s will work for the F1s.

If I am reading your post correctly you now have toe OUT at the front. This will make the car feel skittish at the front - slight negative toe will make the car feel more planted.
I have anti-life and bump steer mods and run the car with a shade of toe in at the front and parallel at the rear. Some brave scoob drivers with track cars run toe out at the rear to get a more oversteery feel on tarmac.

IMHO (on my second set of F1's)
They give grip right from the first mile - all you really need to do is make sure that they are bedded in on the rims so's they do not move/slip and throw your balance out.
Sounds like your geometry changes may be at fault. I get less understeer, tramlining and great grip in the wet or dry from The Goodyear F1.

Goodyears F1 only need a short running in period, nothing compared to the Bridgestones S02 PP. The Goodyears also will give less understeer with the rest of the setup the same. The one time I noticed that the car was handling very nervous was when a the rear accidently was set to toe out of 1 mm instead of toe in of 1 mm. You might want to check this.
