Tyre Size

![Question](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/icons/icon5.gif)
I have received my 17" P1 alloys for my My00 Turbo. What is the best size of tyres to go for. 205/45 or 215/40 ?. Will the 215/40,s foul on the wheel arches?
thanks

Hi Shaun,
It should be 21540zr17 and you will have no problem with clearance.I should know because i fit loads of them at work(Tyres Northampton)so go get the 2154017 and fit either bridgestones or toyos for the best results.

Hi Shaun
I have 215/40/17 Michelin without problems, and bear in mind that my rims are OZ Superturismo 17" with 48mm offset while yours are also OZ with 52mm offset (stock offset for the pre 2001 scoobys).
The 215/40/17 are 0,6 cm lower than the 205/45/17.
If you thinking of lowering the car in the future, you wont have problem independent of the tyre's make (Pirelli, Bridgestone, Toyo etc).
I mean that if you have less than 52 offset, you must be careful with the tyres, because some tyres full the arches in the backside when lowering the car or full load.
Hope this helps you!
