Despite my best efforts, my 18 month old MY00 wheels are looking a little past their best. I pick up a new set of 17" gold PD7's on Friday, and would like to keep them looking nice and shiny for a bit longer!

Can anyone recommend any coatings and/or cleaners that can keep the brake dust at bay?

Ta

Andy.

Hi Andy,

Have never used any special coatings other than standard polish. Regular washing
( wheels only ! ) sometimes two / three times a week plus the odd coat of Mer has worked OK for me. Recently sold a MY00 and wheels were good as new.

No substitute for elbow grease !

Cheers

Best thing thing is to wax the wheels every other week - polish will just remove less stubborn marks, wax 'coats' the wheels meaning dirt just rinses off Even the most stubborn marks just wipe off.

I use Wizard of Wax kit, and my wheels are as good (if not better ) as the day they were bought
