And good riddance.Taking off a set of nearly new Avon ZZ1's tomorrow-just couldn't live with them in the wet any more(and its always wet in Ireland)-Putting on Eagle F1's and hope to see a BIG difference.

[I'd cross your fingers. Never cut corners with tyres as at the end of the day they are all that seperates you from the road and a lamp post. Use recommended tyres.

Are Avons poor quality tyres? Dont they have a decent name in racing slicks?

I have a mate who has them on his scoob MY00 turbo, he said they were dangerous in the wet, thus the reason he now has Bridgestone so-2's on his car the drivers choice

Keep the avons for the upcoming ISDC track days at Kirkiston in September and Mondello in October/November . You'll love the GY eagles . Just perfect for our climate . Fantastic in the wet but are not good for track days as they will overheat very quickly unless it's very wet .
How did you get on at the last day at Kirkiston ? I didn't get my brakes sorted in time . I have now modified my calipers to take legacy/impreza turbo pads . Big improvement even using standard turbo pads . I am going to get a set of DS2000's for the track .
