Legacy discs and pads
#1
Question on behalf of a Legacy owning mate:
He owns a 1992 Legacy turbo estate. Are the discs and pads the same as similar age Impreza pads and discs?
(We could fitting my '98 Impreza pads and discs but we haven't met up for a while!)
Reason for asking is he wants to fit (cheaper) after market Impreza pads/discs to the Legacy ....
Maybe this isn't even neccessary if there are cheaper after market Legacy brake bits 'n bobs available.
Any info welcome. Cheers.

No most likely not that year, some of the later imprezas had bigger rotors which is why they run 16" rims. Earlier Impreza yes, but
If he is running 16" rims then go ahead he will get better brake performance from the bigger rotors.

AFAIK the '92 legacy turbo used type 'a' pads ( see scoobyshop ) which was also used on the early impreza turbos . I'm not sure about the discs . Subaru give different part nos but they may be the same . Try scoobysport or similiar as they would know more .
