bridgestone or goodyear??

Toyo have some new tyres out. Based on the performance of the older T1-S, I'd say the new offerings must be worth a try.
Only criticism of the F1s is they have a very soft sidewall, which really detracts from the steering feel. Turn in is not particularly sharp, even when you run them at higher pressures, eg 36psi. Unfortunately, this is one characteristic that you'll have to endure day in, day out.
There's lots of good tyres out there, but if you don't try 'em, you'll never know.

In December last year I was making this decision... Toyo's or F1's
After a meeting quite a few fellow Scooby owners, I got the impression
Toyo's very good in dry, in wet not fantastic and weren't very progressive on the limit, I.E not much warning
F1's Very good in Dry (toyo's may be very slightly better), in wet fantastic, lots of grip and very progressive towards the edge....
So I popped on some F1's (17") GSD3's and I was more than impressed, In the dry I struggle to unstick it and in the wet excellent, had a few slides etc but that was enforced
Thats a yes vote for F1's BTW

I had F1's on a MR2, being a rear drive car, it could be a bit lively around corners !
But the F1's transformed the car completely, so much more grip in the wet.
But I had so much trouble with the soft sidewalls (as soon as the pressure gose down slightly, they start to crack)
I got through 6 tyres (2 were almost new) before I changed SO2's (nice thick sidewall)
but not as good in the wet as the F1's

Definately F1's
Switched to these about 6 months ago from the standard bridgestones - what an difference! especially in the wet - goes round corners like it is on rails in the wet compared to the bridgestones - unless you're pushing really hard
