Off-set on classic Impreza

If you have 4 pots, don't go below 48, mine clear by a whisker, so the new age 45 offset's would not clear. Up to 53 ideally or you may have them scraping. Also depends on tyre size but 215/45 or 215/40's will be fine. Suggest the Potenza RE050's, fantastic reviews, beats Toyo's and F1's for dry & wet braking & handling and just as importantly, durabillity. You'll get loads more miles out of them.

ET52 is best, say Prodrive, and you won't get any rubbing problems.
Off-set does have an effect on caliper clearance, but it's not the key factor. It's the profile of the spokes that makes the real difference. Unless you can find someone on here that has fitted the exact wheels you're thinking of (quite likely), don't buy before actually fitting a wheel and checking for sure. You really need 3mm clearance to be safe.
