Default Profile Lowering

Currently running 205/45/17's on a 98 facelift and I need to change the front two PZero's..

Leigh Tyres are doing a cracking deal for four T1-s at £250. Unfortunately they are 40's.

Apart from the speedo changes, are there any major adverse effects likely with this lowering without upstepping the Wheel diameter...?

Harder ride, noise are accepted as a given... anything else to be aware of?

if there going to be 215/40/17 then there will only be a slight differece to the rolling radius. 215/40/17 are better for handling, they wont change your speeding reading(only about 3%iirc) get the toyos! definatly you will notice the difference
