Default Brake Pads and track day

When do you think I should change my front pads (WRX 03)?

Current ones have approx 3-4mm left and I'd like to know whether you think would it be wise to change them before or after a track day (Donnington park, 1st Nov. My 1st track day, can't wait)? Thanks

I would be inclined to change them befor that- nothing worse than having to cut your day short when your brakes give up.

Or.... if you can change them yourself you could do them on the day if necessary

I always take spares. Just have to remember to let them cool before changing them

I'd do them before hand and get them bedded in first too.

Think I'll get them done next week. Thanks for feedback. Suppose I'd better get looking for a good price on new tyres for the day after the track.

an excellent plan- or get yourself a cheap set of alloys with shagged tyres

Shagged tyres are better for track. Less tread squirm. Just watch out for the canvas popping through
