Default 205/50 16 vs 215/50 16

A lame question I know. I have damaged my 205's. I have the chance of 215's. Would this cause a problem?

215s are obviously wider, and slightly taller. 1.6% in theory. So they'll fit, and speedo error won't be effected much. But please don't fit sh1te rubber to a fast car

Richard.

Forgot to add, don't fit different sizes front-to-rear - you'll need four new ones. The diffs won't like it and it'll handle like a pig.

Im considering getting 215/50R16's for my legacy, trouble is there quite hard to get hold of. I would go for the wider tyre if you can. I'm upgrading mine from 205/60R15's!

The guy who was selling me the 215/50R16's had given me the wrong sizes. They were 205's all along, so now am replacing like for like. Thanks for advice anyway.
