WHAT BRAKES DO I HAVE?
Hi Guys
Just bought a MY98 (jan 98) DMG Turbo wagon the weekend and need 2 brake disks. MY model is the twin airbag (so newer interior).
Short of taking the wheel off and measuring the brakes are they likely to be only the one size?
Car is totally standard and was also wodering if i should go str8 for an upgrade or are the standard ones good enough?
Dont plan to do much super hard driving, i.e. track days etc, am smooth on the brakes and have never had brade fade in teh 2 previous sports i have had,was wondering - it standard good enough?? read the other day that the bulkhead flexes and can give a sloppy feel to the pedal, do people address that by puting reinforced plate ion the bulkhead.
Thanks in advance for any advice......rx631

If your brakes have 'SUBARU' witten across them then they are the 4 pot caliper with 294mm discs.
If not then they are 2 pots with 277mm discs, I think
Consider Ferodo DS2500, Pagid RS42-1 and EBC Redstuff ceramic pads with a grooved disc and braided brakelines.
The device you need to prevent bulkhead flex is a brake support bracket which are simple to fit.
Ring stockcar(Alyn) for top advice.
