The S02's have always been available Bob, as they are standard fitment on many Porsche's.
It is, however, the PP variant that is the tyre that is raved about, they're much better than the standard S02, but are very hard to come by.
Try mytyres.net, they're usually a pretty good source of info.

Don't get me wrong- they're very good tyres- I'm using them in 18" form on the MY03 wagon.
Whilst I rate the non PP variant alongside Toyos and the GoodYears, IMHO there aren't any tyres in the same league as the S02PP.
