What tyres
Ok, its time for new rubber after 12k (really suprised they lasted so well, reasonably hard driven car)
Its a STi Type Uk 53 plate, Standard 17" wheels, currently with RE40's
Would like something that does not tramline so much if thats possible and softer would not be a problem.
Any ideas and suggestions (and cheap sources) would be greatfully recieved.

Toyos
I can only see them for £96 on Just Tyres, wonder if the price has gone up already?
Also, some of the reviews on the www seem to suggest that the Toyo's have a softer sidewall and roll a little more, anyone found this to be a problem on a Scoob. My RE040's seem to wear the edges pretty quickly already, so I wouldn't want it to get worse!

Goodyear F1s for me - cracking tyres.
Someone was raving over the Michelin Pilot Sport 2's here not long ago, but they did dreadfully in the Autocar tyre test in the autumn (if you believe anything Autocar writes)

Mine are due for replacement soon and I'll be going for the Goodyear Eagle F!GSD3s. I've heard too much good stuff about them not too. Didn't they also win the last tyre test in Evo magazine?

What pressures are people running with the GSD3s?
I recently fitted the XL variety with a stiffer sidewall, but my once tight and pointy WRX03 now feels like it has a fat wobbly ***. It does not inspire confidence at anything over 50MPH.

Thanks for the reply's
In the end stuck some Michelin Pilot Sport 2's as I got them for an ok price and the RE40's were so low they must have been borderline illegal.
But what a difference, the scary tramlining has vanished. Turn in seems good and grip ok. Need to fully scrub them in but initial impressions after about 10 miles sliding about are good.
