Default Recommend me a tire with a hard shoulder...

I'm looking for a set of tires that won't end up with smooth shoulders quite as quick as my last set...(loads of roundabouts on the daily commute )

I fancy RE070s but they don't come in 215 size - for my newage WRX...

Can anyone recommend me a tire??

Not sure if you mean harder sidewalls or not. But I changed my last set Goodyear F1's for the GSD3 XL's. The XL is for extra load and they appear slightly stiffer on the side and of course they are a good tyre anyway. I think they are only a couple of quid more than the normal GSD3's.

I run the standard size on my MY02 WRX.

I asked the garage who fitted my GSD3's recently about the "XL" ones. The guy said that they are generally for much heavier / bigger cars and in his opinion I should stick with the standard GSD3's. I have done couple of hundred miles on them and so far they are very good. (225/45/17)

no, on sti alloys. the RE070 should mount on the wrx wheel though? I have a part worn set that I'll sell for a sensible price
