Default Firestone SZ80 or Toyo T1-R's?

Which of the above would you guys go for?
Both are pretty much the same price around £80 fitted from AMS. The person I spoke to on the phone said that the Firestones were better than the Toyo's all round. Longer lasting and better performance both in the dry and wet conditions.
I know the Toyo's are mentioned alot but if anybody can tell me any views on the Firestones that would be great.
Arn't Firestones made by Bridgstone?

Cheers,

Rich

As far as I am aware Firestone are the 'budget' department of Bridgestone. I have never come across anyone who uses them on an Impreza, whereas the T1R's predecessor is loved by many on here, and the T1R is supposed to be better.

Thanks guys. I think I will go for the Toyo's as they seem to be the more tried an tested brand on the scoobs.
