Hiya
Noticed a squeaking sound coming from one of my front wheels whilst reversing the car the other week and have occasionally heard it since. Seems to only happen when moving off/reversing at low speeds. I went away this weekend and did about 800 miles and have noticed since I've been back that my front left alloy is black from brake dust whereas all 3 other wheels aren't nearly as bad.
Is this normal? should I get it checked out?
Any info appreciated.
Thanks
Lou

If you drive the car without touching the brakes and coast to a stop, you can feel the discs to see if the disc is hot to touch (hotter than the rest). If it is, then as Alcazar says it's most likely to be a siezed caliper.
