Default rear brake pads

Are the rear calipers on my 1997 wagon clutch calipers or are they just normal push back the piston type for fitting new pads

AFAIK, they are just straightforward sliding single-pot calipers. Sames as all the UK cars up to MY00.

If they look like this then, they are the same:-

Yup just push the piston back in with a mni G-clamp or similar (or even use the proper tool for t'job )
