Im thinking about going down the 18" route, ive got eibach springs that have dropped her by about 30mm.
Are 18"s feasible without having to roll the arches etc?

Depends on the wheel and tyre width. I have 18x7.5 ET53 OZ WRC-1's fitted to my MY99 RB5 with 215/35 Hankook tyres. I currently have the Eibach Pro-Kit springs on std dampers.
No rubbing on mine. I also ran 225/40 Goodyear Eagles without any rubbing, but my car is an exception as most others had some rubbing.

Excellent
Im a bit of a novice with wheels and tyres etc, but can you get a 215/40? Or does it depend on the alloy/choice of tyre?
I want the extra depth in the tyres (ride comfort etc) but dont want them so wide that they rub!

Yes, you can get 215/40. The trouble is the overall diameter of the tyre/alloy must fall within the same size as your current setup otherwise your speedo will over or under read. It can also give poorer acceleration if you run bigger wheels (overall that is).
What size of tyres/alloys do you have now?

Ok after a little research, this seems to be a decent setup (havent looked at the speedo calculators yet though):
225/35/18
18x7.5
ET53 offset
I think if i go 225/40/18 they will start to rub.
Has anyone thats got KYB AGX dampers/eibach sprintgs got 18"s too?

I recently ran a mates 18" x 7 alloys on mine for a few days they were 215/40/18 and I had rubbing on the rear passenger side.
I am running H&R springs advertised with a 50mm drop but in reality they dropped the car 20-25mm all round.. it sits quite low compared to the Eibach set up.
My rear arches are standard and if it helps from what I have been told and read 35 walls are they way to go with classics on 18"
Just remembered they were a 45 offset ally.

I did run 225/40/18 Eagle F1's and had no rubbing. I rarely have a full back seat and don't drive hard with other folk in the car so that may explain why.
The tyre fitter did comment that the 225's fitted well on the OZ wheels - better than the 215 Hankooks he replaced them with.

Not lowered but I run 215 40 18's on OZ WRC-1, as they don't look as gappy as 215 35 18's.
Overall rolling radius is slightly out, but only by about 2mm at each side of the tyre (4mm O/A diameter). Tyre wear measurements really!
Never had it rub yet, even on bumps.
Not a big choice of tyre in this size though.
