Probably the ones that it came with, ie Bridgestone Potenza REO70's.
Have had no complaints with 'em whatsoever!
But...am also big F1 fan, so would have a set of F1's as well, just 4 comparison, money being no object 'n' all!
Have no experience of anything HUGELY expensive tyre-wise, as apart from sccobies, most exotic thing I've owned (due 2 constant financial drain of kids, ponies & Optimax) was an RX8!
Ah, well, never mind!

Falkens ... good value, sensible mileage and enough grip for most - then I would spend the saved cash on something worthwhile ..................

I'd quite fancy an Aston Martin V8 Vantage 4 me, a Lamborghini Gallardo for Other Half (the Murcielago being a bit on the big side 4 small country lanes!) & a Cayenne Turbo 2 cart the kids & pony crap around in!
You?

I’m always up for something different, going 18” on my car meant 225/40/18 and after looking at a heap of stuff on the net I got quite confused (might be old age
). Not commonly available here, but very well thought of in Europe were Marangoni Zeta Linea from Italy. There were several factors involved for me, one of which was the 92W load / speed rating on their 225/40/18, that seemed good for Scooby’s seeing as how they can put a lot of load on the tyres. Tread pattern is very F1 ‘ish so good in the wet seemed likely.
After 1200 miles on this tyre I can safely say I’ll be using them again, they might be the nicest overall performance tyre I’ve driven on.
When new: Feel slightly squirmy. Squeal pushed only moderately hard.
Balance: Excellent, minimal weights required.
Road noise: Ultra quiet.
Ride: Superb, excellent road feel at any speed.
Bedded in at 1200 miles: Squirmy feeling is gone. Silent, even under extreme cornering load. Ride and road manners are outstanding, car feels really planted at all times. Absolutely not trace of tram lining.
Wet traction: Damp performance is well above normal, they act as if its dry driven sanely. Standing water can cause problems but I think that’s the case with any relatively wide tyre really. Overall wet handling is excellent.
No I don’t work for Marangoni, I just think they make a dam fine tyre
