Question 18" rims on a 94 wrx

Hi lads, is it ok to do this ? will they foul the arches, also will it mess up my handling.

does anyone have comments on what wheel size you need for BEST handling ?

best handling would probably be on 17 inch rims(even though i have 18`s)if your car isnt lowered it will only catch occasionaly on the back without arch mods,im also only running 215/35x18 tyres whereas generally i think peeps use 225`s just depends how low ya wanna go.Got koni top adjustables with -40mm springs and trimmed rear arches on mine front doesnt catch at all-dont know the offset though ive just ordered a spare rim so when i pick it up(hopefully nxt wk) could find out for you.

this was a mates 94wrx with 18`s and approx 25-30mm drop

dave, thanks a million mate, I think I will just go with your advice and stick to 17", thats what is currently on it, and it seems ok, just felt that it tracked a little on white lines etc and thats ony with 215 wides.


perhaps I can spend what I save on 18's and get a set of oz 17's instead will probably look better, though that pic looks mint, I think those are arospeed rims arent they.

I run 18"s 225-35 profile - hardsh ride but very tight when it's smooth!

i run 215 35 18's on mine and lowered, no problems with mine

p.s. best size for handling are 17's cant remember tyre size! its the same as a honda civic type-r think there 215, 40, 17's
