how long should redstuff pads last?

how long should redstuff pads last?
Mine have been on for around 4500 miles with ebc discs and are looking nearly finished. Mixture of driving, not constant hard use. Would the Ferodo DS 2500 pads be a good option to try on ebc discs and hopefully last longer?
