Default braided brake lines? better brake fluid?

Hey all, my son is about to fit 2Pots to his sport. The brakes come with the brake lines already, but could he get upgraded braided brake lines? along with better brake fluid? i presume it would be the same stuff as for the turbo.
where can he get the above?

many thanks

If using braided lines, the whole car should be done, not just the front.

because i presume you will get better braking at rear as more force is transmitted to the brakes from pedal than front non braided hoses which will expand more thus causing less braking at front-demon tweeks do goodridge braided hoses and get better brake fluid for better feel and less fade due to fluid boiling, try as performance-stockcar on here he is spot on re brake advice

well the rear brakes on the sport are just drums... still worth swapping the lines to them too?

Yes, it's nothing to do with the set up (disc or drum), it's the amount of
give in the lines.

As the front braided lines don't have any expansion the fluid will find the easiest
route with give, that being the rear lines.

Always do the whole car for full benefit.

Wouldn't say it will give "that" much more benefit. Just make sure if do buy braided hoses please make sure they are decent ones and not cheapies...the cheap ones are potentially lethal.

High quality Dot 4 fluid imo gives better feel than synthetic dot5 fluids...only go dot 5 if you have problems with excessive temperatures (not really going to happen on a sport tbh ).

the rear lines from a turbo won't fit on a sport either (not with drums anyway) as they are a different length

As far as i know there is no sport specific kit available so he'd have to go for the turbo kit and just use the fronts. If he's planning on doing the rear disc conversion he can then chuck the rear lines on then

Before you upgrade the lines, try just adding fresh brake fluid ... if you are still not happy then upgrade the lines afterwards ... I changed my brake fluid and saw no reason to do the lines as well ...
