Try BG Developments in Bromsgrove, they're an AP agent and did me a good deal, 01527 873716.
There are a number of AP 6 pot kits depending on whether you're pre or post 05 stud pcd and whether you're on 17" or 18" wheels. The pukka kit is the one with CP5570 calipers but that's limited to 330mm discs. The cheaper kit uses CP7040 caliper (with tasteful(!) red calipers) and that can go up to 355mm discs for 18" and even 362mm discs with 19" wheels. Whether you can tell the difference is probably a different matter though, they're probably both awesome.

Not only do the larger kits come with an inferior caliper but they weigh more as a package, and if you're after miximum performance (which you obviously are thinking of a 6-pot) then this additional unsprung weight is a no no.
Ofcourse if you just want a disc that's going to fill the wheel there are cheaper options available.

Inferior caliper ?? I dont think AP sell these !
the 7040 caliper is the best available for road use and track days , they have a much better seals covering the pistons , the 5555 and 5570 have dust seal inside the calipers , so when the pistons come out they are out in the open , which can make them easily damaged by chippings ect being thrown up, the 7040 calipers have dust seals that come out with the pistons and keeps them covered all the time , so these are much more reliable , I dont think AP would step back a design in the making of the calipers , these changes bring them in line with the way Brembo seals there calipers , which as brembo now own AP I guess they can make calipers that have the benefits of both makes.
The 7040 is avalable in Black or red , not just red
Dissagree with the weight issue , yes the 7040 calipers are 1:3kg's heavier than the 5555's and 7040's , you would never notice this driving the car , and the 5570 caliper is only limited to a 28mm thick disc , the 7040 can fit a 32mm thick disc into it , the thicker the disc used the more heat it will take ,the less chance of heat cracks , so much better on track days
All three calipers use the same size pistons so there is not going to be a performance gain from one to the other , except that on the 7040 you can use a larger diameter disc , bigger is better when it comes down to brakes , it gives more leaverage

As the experts are looking at this thread:
What AP calipers/size of disc and part numbers please for 16'' Sti V3 wheels?
I need to stick to 16's as I can only get hill climb quality slicks in 16's.
Hope you can advise please.
Graham.

I was advised by AP engineers on their stand at the Autosport show that the CP5570 caliper is a better caliper than the later CP7040 hence why it costs more. They said it's derived from a race caliper rather than a road caliper so is stiffer and lighter (1.3kg per caliper!). But as I said it's probably academic for us mere mortals, either is excellent for the use we're likely to put it to.

The AP web page here says CP5200 4 pot kit for 16" wheels. Follow Brake Kit Selection, Subaru, all models.
It uses CP3580 4 pot calipers and 304mm x 28mm discs either grooved or drilled. Not sure if it will fit your wheels but there's a .pdf you can download, print full size, cut out and try inside your wheel. If the cut out profile fits in your wheel, centred on the hub, then the wheel will clear the caliper.

To quote Chelspeed,
I'm not into others opinions but under the circumstances seems we disagree on a fair bit recently awd
The reference to weight was as a whole, disc and caliper.

AP 2006 catalogue (paper and CD versions) say 2.4kg for CP5570 and 3.7kg for the CP7040 calipers, that's 1.3kg per caliper. The discs will be heavier too (diameter and thickness).
But just checked the website and that says 3.0kg for CP5570 and 3.7kg for the CP7040 so that's only 0.7kg per caliper. Confused now.

AP 330mm disc/bell
AP 5570 caliper
Ferodo DS2500 pads
all the above for £1300, AWD does that include the fluid and hoses?

groop buy
I have posted in groop buy section.
reply from goodspeed;
HI
We do have offers on the AP caliper kits at the moment , we have reduced them by £100 per kit , if you get 5 or more I will discount them by £200 off the web prices , so the 335mm 6 pot kit will be £1200 and the 355mm kit £1300 , this includes DOT 5:1 fluid and delivery , can supply Goodrich braided hose kits front and rear at the same time for £60
These are total prices with nothing more to add
Hope this helps
Cheers Ian
thats 1260 for 335 kit+hoses.

If I was spending that amount of money I would want genuine AP bells and rotors, which, although I'm quite prepared to be corrected, the Godspeed supplied items won't be, and hence the price.
In real terms you are very unlikely, in both road and trackday terms, to find AP four-pots inadequate. In anything but race conditions the six pot is overkill.
I've been using APs on Impreza's since 1997, and have never felt any advantage of six pots over fours. Save yourself a few hundred quid and spend it on suspension and geometry rather than an over-the-top brake setup.
hope this helps, simon

RRH , looking at the group buy thread it is with either Godspeed or AP discs , yes the bells will be Godspeed but so what , it basically only a piece of alloy holding the discs , I've never heard of anyones bells failing even the cheapest kits on the market , unless you want to score points in the pub
You will find that AP dont make many of the parts themselves , they contract it out to a lot of surounding engineering companies around them to make , AP mainly put the bits together and sell the completed products
Cant believe you dont find a difference between the 4 and 6 pots , especially on track days , I find them much better hauling down from 100mph plus than the 4 pots
