New brakes?

New brakes?
Hello,
I am thinking of changing my front brakes on my MY97, as I dont feel the standard ones are currently up to the job!
Unfortunately the search facility i down, and I am sure this question may have been asked many times before, please accept my apologies.
Are there any cheap brake upgrades for the MY97, what would be sensible budget?
Or as a cheaper alternative what would be the best disk and pad package to opt for?
TIA
Ben

First step is to find a set of four pot calipers along with discs and pads off a later car, 294mm, they literally bolt straight on, and then from there you're in a better position to upgrade when needed, they do pop up from time to time, normally for something between 250 and 400 quid, depending on age and pads discs etc.......
thses brakes were standard on all uk cars from 99 onwards, the bugeye and blobeye Wwrx's also have these fitted, they are the same regardless of what car they come off, and as said, they all bolt straight on.
