FWIW I get on well with the new Redstuffs but the wear rate his high.

DS2500 seem to be popular.

Have look here http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/forumdisplay.php?f=13

Cheers

I have red stuff back and front. Seem much better than the Greenstuff which I've had on fire during a spirited back road thrash

Redstuff pads work best at higher temps and are IMO crap when cold. I do a lot of motorway driving so most of the time my pads are cold leading to poor breaking peformance for 80% of my driving time.

When they're warm, now that's another story....

Would not buy them again due to the roads I drive on, shame.

Redstuff good when heated up,not totaly useless cold, but not as good as standard pads.
I have got DS2500 on another car and are good hot or cold.
I wouold buy these if changing again.

They're not dangerous when cold, but they don't bite not as good as the OEM pads. I run them all round with EBC turbo groove discs and think the overall performance is much better than the OEM's.

They do chew through discs quite bad - I get through two sets of pads to one disc, but the pads and discs are much cheaper than OEM anyways.

I had Redstuff's in mine, didn't like them at all, crap when cold and hardly any feel to them, and they don't last very long.

I have just fitted a set of brembo's and am running standard pads which are much better (probably due to the caliper upgarde).

I've been told the best pads to buy are Pagid RS4 (blue's) but they are very expensive (about £170 for your brembo's), also heard Mintex and ferrodo DS2500's are good, i'm going to try one of them next, see which i can get the best deal on.

Have tried both,

Running circa 360 bhp and Ferrodo DS2500's are by far the best pad on the market!!

The EBC red stuff's took ages to warm up and on contiuous heavy braking they began to fade the 2500's have NEVER once doen that.

Get the ferodos you'll never look back

Are you all talking about the new Ceramic pads, or the original Red Stuff compound? I thought DS2500's were the ones notorious for 'crap when cold' !?

I might try some DS2500's next time round. What's the dust like on them and how much does a set cost for the Brembo's? I pay £68 + VAT for the ceramics from a local shop.
