Space Saver

Had a puncture last night on one of the front wheels. Changed over to the space saver but it was locked against the brake caliper.
The car originally came with two pot brakes but has been upgraded to the later 4 pots.
Did later cars come with different space savers or are you supposed to put the space saver on the back and put a rear wheel on the front?

I would try to source a 2nd hand later spacer saver to suit the 4 pots. Thats what I did when I upgraded to 4 pots.
My spare 17" wheel was taking up to much space.

Have just upgraded the crappy 2 pot slider calipers on a classic RA to Brembos. Hadn't thought of the space saver. But what to do instead ?

Ditch the spare wheel completely, along with jack, and carry a few cans of tyre inflator (a good one). Save about 25kgs..![Wink](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/smilies/wink.gif)
You'll be supprised at how many new cars don't have a spare of anykind these days..!
